A Crap, Broke Poem

I am so broke am frisking my laundry for stray quid;
-Please, please let there be a thousand in this stinking one!

I am so broke; I am scanning for coins on the streets;
-What do people need their ‘useless change for?

I am so broke; I check in the taxi if -mercifully- a wallet dropped;
-Swear, I’ll leave all the cards under the driver’s seat!

I am so broke; I wish dollars would rain from up heaven;
– Has God completely abandoned the Manna trick?

I am so broke; I wish landlady gets a Govt contract this month;
-Corruption saves the poor…after all.

I am so broke; cockroaches have defected to the neighbors;
-Phew, good riddance.

I am so broke; I spew only poor-ideas!
-what a crap poem this is.
