The Fire Tonight

The accidental lovers sit face to face owling
into each’s eyeballs & pouring out their hearts in trade,
both preparing the other’s blood for a boil
& sorting out the fires they shall barter tonight.

Tonight fire will acost fire.
& this will be an arson to stay away from –
respect its labors from afar –
lest boiling blood scald your poking nose.

This pair shall see one another’s saitan tonight,
Their heats kindling fervid fires within &
flames smooching with the hearts’ lips
beyond the reaches of Cupid’s phallus.
Lo, blood has never been hotter than these hearts will become redder.

These devils will spit fire
whose offspring firestorm will melt away barriers,
morph perfidies and passions as one heart
& dust off past ashes to hell.

Tonight fire will smoke out fog, and fire will burn rain.

Very thought provoking. Mad talent, this. yes, Pun intended. Kee it up. I look forward to having a dog eared book with a collection of your work on my shelf.
