I don’t know if the sun caught her husband cheating last night or
If the sun ate something foul for dinner.
Whatever the sun’s issues
There is no reason shining so coldly this morning
It is less my cares if the sun got a black eye overnight or
If the sun is having a speeding stomach.
Whatever the sun’s troubles
It is no excuse for her to shine so cruelly at noon
What nights the sun spends,
Goodnights and badnights
I need a shine neither faint nor unkind.
Everyday,
I need sunshine bright and warm.

Even the sun, I bet, has mood swings. Nice piece Oluoch Madiang.
